Little Robots

Here's a couple of cards using My Cute Stamps - Spaceships and Robots which I had from Make The Day Special:

The top card measures 3" x 3" and the bottom one is 4" x 4".

Materials used: DCWV and Bazzill cardstock, Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder, paper by Mindy Terasawa at Designer Digitals, My Cute Stamps, Versamark ink, Creative Beginnings embossing powder, white Signo pen, black Memento ink.

Also used: staples.

The Play Date Cafe - PDCC31

Here's the card I made. The butterfly stamp is one of the Layers of Color stamps from the Flutterescence set which is available in the UK from Emily at Make The day Special:

Materials used: Bazzill Bling cardstock, DCWV Latte papers, Making Memories alphabet stickers, Maya Rd ruffled ribbon, Layers of Color butterfly stamp, Memento ink, Stickles.

Also used: paper roses.

Another H{ippity} Hop

I'm back again for another H{ippity} Hop and this week I've got 2 cards to show both using stamps from the {ippity} set Delightful Little Things (currently the only set that I own) and papers from The Melody Ross Artsy Urban set.

For my first card I stamped the sentiment on to a transparency using Stazon ink:

Materials used: Bazzill cardstock, GCD Studios Melody Ross Artsy Urban paper and printed transparency, black Stazon ink, {ippity}stamp, Prima flower and pearl centre.

Also used: pompom trim, organza ribbons and my sewing machine.

The second card was made by stamping directly on to the patterned paper and then colouring some of the image with Promarkers. 

                           

Materials used: Papermill cardstock, GCD Studios Melody Ross Artsy Urban papers and printed butterfly transparency, {ippity} stamp, black Versafine ink, Promarkers, Dovecraft pearl brad.

Also used: cotton lace, tulle netting, paper roses.

Christmas in May?!

I've been playing with some of the gorgeous Layers of Color stamps from Make The Day Special. On the hottest day of the year (so far) I decided to make a few Christmas tags ready to go on presents.

I stamped the gorgeous reindeer stamps with Versamark on white cardstock and then embossed with metallic embossing powder before cutting out the stamped image and placing on the tag:

Materials used: scrap cardstock, DCWV papers, HOTP paper, Layers of Color stamps, Versamark ink, Creative Beginnings embossing powder, Strano ribbon, Creative Imaginations rub-on, Dovecraft silver ribbon.

Also used: organza ribbon, pompom trims, gingham ribbon.

FWF - May Store kit

It's Friday again which means it's Friends With Flair day woo-hoo!!! Loads of inspiring blogs to visit all listed on the Unity blog so be sure to visit them all, leave some love and keep an eye out for that special blinkie that could win you some stamps!

For my cards today I've been playing with some stamps from the Unity May Store kit - Naturally You and Moments in Bloom. The whole set is probably my favourite Unity kit ever and if you're in the UK it is only available from Emily at Make The Day Special.

My first card is another of my favourite shaped ones to make at the moment as I just love that little bit of interest that the bottom edge gives.

I paper pieced the tree using patterned paper for the trunk but using Promarkers to colour the leaves. The cute little bird was cut from the DCWV paper.

Materials used: Bazzill cardstock, DCWV Green stack papers and chipboard, tree and sentiment stamp by Unity, black Memento ink, Promarkers, Hobby House rhinestones.

Also used: gingham ribbon and pins.

My second card uses the cute tortoise stamp and sentiment from Naturally You. I paper pieced the tortoise using the DCWV papers:

Materials used: Papermill cardstock, DCWV green stack papers, Tortoise and sentiment stamp by Unity, black Memento ink, white Signo pen, Prima flower, DCWV brads.

Also used: pompom trim and button.

Just sharing a couple of tags I made for the Make The Day Special blog. They both use the same flower stamp from the gorgeous May Store kit. The full kit is currently sold out but the 2 half-kits are still available.

For the first tag I created a background on glossy cardstock using alcohol inks before stamping the image. I then embellished with a very fine black trim and used ribbon and leather thong through the hole.

Materials used: glossy cardstock, alcohol inks, Unity stamp, black Ranger Archival ink.

Also used: black trim, organza ribbon and leather thong.

For the second tag I stamped the image and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used distress ink to colour the tag before ironing the tag to melt and take away the embossing. I then used the ledger stamp and chalk ink to stamp randomly on the tag before adding a sentiment. The next step was to sew around the tag and add the ribbons before adding the embellishment.

Materials used: Distress inks, Unity stamps (all from May Store kit), Versamark ink, clear embossing powder, Colorbox chalk ink, Fancy Pants ribbon, MME fabric brad, Making Memories ribbon.
Also used: hemp thread.

IHHC23 - My first {ippity} card

I received my first set of {ippity} stamps yesterday from Emily at Ippity Inspiration ...a gorgeous set called Delightful Little Things and this is the first time of inking one up!

The challenge at SCS was to use lace to make an {ippity} card and here's mine:

Materials used: Papermill cardstock, Webster's Pages paper, Prima paper, {ippity} stamp, sepia Archival ink, Distress inks.

Also used: paper rose, cotton lace, ribbon and a metal flower from a necklace.

Well, it's now the 14th of the month and this is my first layout of this month....that's no good if I want to beat my target of the number of layouts completed last year...oops! I've been enjoying card making so much that the scrapbooking has been neglected.

The picture is of my gorgeous DD Jessica when she managed to get hold of my foam pads and stick them all over her face LOL!

I used 3 Unity stamps for this layout and loved that the quote on the stamp is actually on the OA paper too!:

My Cute Stamps!!

How lucky am I?! Yesterday my mail consisted of a Kaisercraft pad won as blog candy on Amy's blog and a set of stamps by My Cute Stamps from Emily at Make The Day Special:

I had a little play with them today and made these 2 cards:

Papertake Weekly - Shiny, Sparkly and Special

I decided to use the fab tree stamp from Unity's March Stampin' Store kit again - (you can find the kit here at Make The Day Special. The image was stamped using the Essential Glue Pad and then covered with Lakeland glitter. I used some more of those card blanks I made using all my scrap and leftovers. They measure 3.5" by 5.5":

Materials used: Bazzill and Papermill cardstock, Unity tree stamp (details above), Essential Glue Pad, Lakeland glitter, Kaisercraft and Prima rhinestones, American Crafts rub-ons, Creative Cafe rub-ons, Ranger copper and silver accent pens, various lace and ribbons.

Rain rain go away

Here's the latest card I made using a couple of stamps from Unity's March Stampin' Store kit - Adventures in Happiness available from Make The Day Special:

I stamped the image twice before colouring with Promarkers, cutting out and then sticking to the card. I used Stickles to give the clouds and rain a bit of a shine.

Materials used: American Crafts and Bazzill cardstock, Unity image and sentiment stamps, Memento ink, Promarkers,Papermania brads, black Copic pen, white and red Signo pens, Rock Candy Stickles.

Also used: corrugated card, gingham ribbon.

FWF Friday - Bleach it!!

It's Friends with Flair Friday today.........woo-hoo another weekend is nearly here!! For today's post I decided to try something different. I think Unity stamps always lend themselves well to brightly coloured cards with lovely patterned papers so I challenged myself to:

• Make tags instead of cards
• Use no patterned paper
• Use no colouring medium

Here's what I came up with:

I cut tags from my scrap cardstock before using various distress inks to colour them. I then used bleach to stamp the main image on the tags before using distress ink to stamp the sentiment and then embellishing. Here's a closer look at them all:

Materials used: Image stamp from Unity May 09 KOTM - Another Sweet Day, sentiment stamp from July 09 KOTM - A Pocket Full of.... , rhinestone and ribbon.

Materials used: Image and sentiment stamps from March 09 KOTM - Simple Life, Prima lace, adhesive pearls, organza ribbon.

Bargains!!

Went in to town today and came out with bargains!! New Look had jewellery at BOGOF so bought 2 necklaces which will be great taken apart:

I love the flower on the bottom one!!!

I also found another necklace (with a few bits missing) that would be fab for taking apart on the sale rack but it had no price on it so I asked the assistant who went off and checked for me and came back with another 2 (again with bits missing) and said I could have all 3 for just £1....woo-hoo!!!

I loved the flowery bit on these!

Not a bad bargain!!
