Millie Marotta - Tropical Wonderland - 1st page - flowers

Not an original title for this post but I find thinking up titles so monotonous!!!

This is my first colouring from Millie Marotta's fab new book - Tropical Wonderland:

Usually it takes me a while to decide which page to colour first but this one just jumped out at me. I've used mainly Prismacolor pencils with a couple of Spectrum Noirs thrown in to the mix too:

A Millie Marotta octopus

This has taken much longer than I hoped and I'm still not sure I like the colours!!!

I threw just about everything at this octopus from Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom - Spectrum Noir pencils, The Works metallic and glitter gel pens and Faber Castell Connector pens.

Relax with Art - Issue 2 - Fourth page

Here's another coloured page from Relax with Art (issue 2). This one has been sat on my desk for a few weeks now and I've been going little bits here and there.

Completed with Spectrum Noir pencils and Prismacolor pencils.

Relax with Art Issue 2 - Second page

Well this colouring has taken me ages!! I challenged myself to go out of my comfort zone with the colours and am quite pleased with how it turned out.

I used a mix of Spectrum Noir pencils and gel pens from The Works.

Relax with Art - Issue 2- First page

I bought the 2nd issue of the Relax with Art magazine/book the other day

and split the pages between Jess and myself. We took all the pages out by removing the staples then guillotined all of them before deciding who was going to colour which picture. I ended up with the more complicated and detailed pics.

I started colouring the pattern using just one tin of Spectrum Noir pencils but having just bought Jess some gel pens I "borrowed" a couple and used those too. The purple one was metallic and the gold glittery although they don't show up very well in the photo:

I quite enjoyed this one as a change from colouring leaves and flowers - now I'm off to decide what to colour next.

A quick bird

After the marathon that was the last colouring I did, I decided to do a quick and easy one today.

This is from Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom book and I used Spectrum Noir pencils throughout:

Enchanted Forest - more colouring!!

This one was a real labour of love and has been sat on my desk for a couple of weeks now with me doing bits here and there but it's finally finished and I'm quite pleased with it.

This is from Johanna Basford's Enchanted Forest book.
