Relax with Art - Issue 4 - Owl

Here's my first completed colouring from Relax with Art - issue 4  ( thinking about it, I don't think I've completed any in Issue 3 yet!) and it's the gorgeous owl.

This one was done completely with Prismacolor pencils:

And here's the original pic:

I'm not sure who was more pleased - Jess or myself?!

More colouring with Jess

Back again with more colouring done with Jess on her first full day of the summer holidays or the "summer colourdays" as we've decided to rename them.

This first one is from the Dazzling Patterns colouring book using 6 colours of Faber Castell connector pens:

Here's another one from the Dazzling Patterns book done today while watching Labyrinth. Again, this one was done with Faber Castell connector pens:

Another Enchanted Forest colouring....

I'm going to apologise in advance for the photos of this one - I took at least 20 trying to get a good shot but unless there's something seriously wrong with my eyes they all look terrible LOL!

Anyway, this is a double page spread from Johanna Basford's Enchanted Forest book done using mainly Prismacolor pencils with a couple of green Polychromos pencils and a couple of green Spectrum Noir pencils.

Today is the last day of school for Jess and Jamie (Matt finishes tomorrow) and Jess and I are looking forward to lots of quality colouring time together.

More quick colouring with Jess

Here's a few more quick colouring pages completed on Jess's bedroom floor and not using my lovely pencils *insert sad face here*!

This one above is from an A5 size book by DecoTime and bought from The Range. I used a mix of Sakura Moonlight pens, gel pens from The Works and Stabilo 68.

This one above is also from the same book and uses some of Jess's pencils (Tesco 72 colour set), Stabilo 68 and The Works gel pens.
If anyone is looking for a cheap set of pencils I think these Tesco ones are lovely. They aren't scratchy and go on to the paper quite smoothly.

Finally this one is from The Meditation Colouring book and here I used Faber Castell Connector pens and an Edding silver pen.

I'm hoping that today I get to do some more of my latest from Enchanted Forest (if Jess lets me!).

Jess and I........

.......Jess and I love to sit and colour together but unfortunately that means not being able to sit at my desk with my lovely daylight lamp so pencil work and shading is out of the question. We seem to have spent the weekend sat on Jess's bedroom floor colouring which has meant sticking to gel pens and the Faber Castell connector pens so my colouring subject has changed as well as my style.

This first one is from the Dazzling Patterns Colouring Book by Beverley Lawson and is coloured using 5 Faber Castell Connector pens. I love these pens so much - smooth, not scratchy and with a lovely amount of ink every time!

This next one is from the Can't Sleep Colouring Book using metallic and glitter gel pens from The Works and a couple of metallic pencils:

I must admit to finding these really relaxing to do but I'm itching to get back to my pencils!!

Millie Marotta - Tropical Wonderland - 2nd page

After a busy couple of weeks (if you can call watching Wimbledon that?) I'm back with another coloured page from Millie Marotta's Tropical Wonderland book

Again I used Prismacolor pencils, Spectrum Noir pencils and a few of the only Polychromos pencils I have (greens)

Before I go, I had a comment from Diane asking why I arranged my pencils in the order that I do but I can't find any way to contact you Diane so will answer here. The Prismacolors were only arranged like that to mimic a downloadable colour chart I found online which makes it a lot easier for me to choose my colours quickly as I have it sat on my desk all the time.

Millie Marotta - Tropical Wonderland - 1st page - flowers

Not an original title for this post but I find thinking up titles so monotonous!!!

This is my first colouring from Millie Marotta's fab new book - Tropical Wonderland:

Usually it takes me a while to decide which page to colour first but this one just jumped out at me. I've used mainly Prismacolor pencils with a couple of Spectrum Noirs thrown in to the mix too:
